Q. If I want your law firm to process an R-1 Visa for me, what information do you require?

A. Here is the list of information needed.

  1. Passport/visa/I-94

  2. Offer of employment letter from U.S. religious organization

  3. Statement from religious organization supporting how the alien qualifies

  4. Membership certificate/information that links U.S. and abroad organizations

  5. Previous employment experience letters outlining 2 years of religious work in the denomination

  6. Length of employment period

  7. Employer information
    • Tax exempt certificate {under 501(c)(3) of IRS Code}
    • Tax I.D. #
    • Year established
    • Name/title of representative authorized for signatures
    • Gross/net income
    • Brochures/pamphlets, etc.

  8. Applicant’s current/foreign address

  9. Consulate to apply for visa

  10. Dependent information
    • Birth certificate (children)
    • Marriage certificate (spouse)
    • Passport/visa/I-94
